Europe.. on paper

I wasn't the best skecther when I came to Rome. But I gotta say now I have improved a lot and actually like sitting down and sketching a building now.
Here are some from Rome and a couple from Liverpool.. which had some suprisingly sick architecture.

Ireland and England

For spring break Mr. Hoover and I decided to go to Ireland.

and it was awesome!! We lived like vagabonds the first day, royalty the next three, and bums the last two.. but in the end the culture of Ireland was awesome. The people were just so friendly and full of life.. especially my first cousin twice removed. and his twin brother.

Oui!!

Paris was real sick. Loved the city a lot. Mainly all the parks and open green spaces that it had. It was a lot different than all the other European city's we've been to so far. and the people were actually very nice. i dunno where we get this stereotype that the French are snobs and jerks but for the most part they were awesome. and the food.. uhh. it was 'Fantastick!' awesome falafels.

Northern Italy

It's a little late.. but here's my pics from northern italy

3 things we learned from this trip:

1. don't play soccer in da snow/ice w/ flats on

2. stay away from the algae

3. ice cream + waffle = death

Project one

Ciao,

Well the first project came and went. I was pleased with this project. I think it was one of the best renderings I have ever done which was in part to the beautiful paper we used which had a very nice texture. Europe doesn't have your standard 8 1/2 x 11 or 11x17. They got A2, A3, A4 and so on, which is actually a bit more efficient since the ratios match up exactly. It was hard to get used to at first. But Vyt explained it to us and got us.. even.. more.. confused..... but ANYWAYY!!!

The light tables seemed to be the preferred nap spot for those who's eyes began to get heavy in the middle of drawing. Luckily I didn't fall victim to this tempting slumber. It was a different experience staying up all night in Rome though. And I was able to partake in a traditional Italian breakfast. It's a lot different than pulling an all nighter then going to the Pryz where you're welcomed with egg soup, a piece of charcoal with butter on it, and watered down orange drank. I however had the 3 C's to start of every Italian's morning: Corneto, Cappuccino and Cigarette. Not necessarily the breakfast of Champions but it definitely gives you a jump start to your morning.

After finishing some diagrams I ran back to my room after dodging two Vespas and climbing the 147 stairs that leads to our penthouse suite. Took a 2 hour nap. Then got myself all fixed up in the most modern Euro clothing I had.

And after all that I'm happy to say that Jury was painless. Which is a rarity amongst us CUArchitects.
